The Princess Victoria is a solid, traditional real ale pub on the river front in Matlock Bath. It is owned by Batemans Ales but also features guest ales on hand pump. My own choice there was the familiar Batemans XB. The décor of the pub is unfussy, a typical boozer-style pub. These people certainly know their stuff, and the atmosphere is friendly and sociable. You can sit outside if you like, but the Parade is pretty busy.

Probably the best pub in Matlock Bath now. Great local beer and a fantastic atmosphere. A proper old pub without all the fancy modern art and subtle pastel paint.
